The project
A 110-square-foot 2010 builder-grade master bath transformed into a true spa retreat. We tore out the original tub-shower combo, expanded the shower footprint into the adjacent closet (homeowners gained closet space elsewhere), installed a curbless linear-drain shower with frameless glass, and ran a heated porcelain tile floor.
The challenge
The expanded shower footprint required relocating drain plumbing through the slab. Coring and re-routing without compromising the existing structure. Coordinating the heated subfloor installation with tile setting to ensure proper thermal expansion.
The result
A bathroom that reads more like a boutique hotel than a Florida tract home. Frameless glass, brushed-gold fixtures, freestanding soaker tub. Heated floor was a tier above the original budget and worth every dollar according to the homeowners.
