If you are spending $30,000-$70,000 on cabinets in 2026, semi-custom is usually the right tier. The three brands that dominate the Brevard County semi-custom market are KraftMaid, Decora, and Schrock. All three are owned by MasterBrand Cabinets but use different factories, different price ladders, and different finish palettes.

KraftMaid: the conservative middle
KraftMaid is the most-installed semi-custom brand in Brevard. The reason is breadth: 100+ finishes, multiple door styles, decent feature options, comfortable mid-tier pricing. KraftMaid Vantage line (the semi-custom tier above their stock line) hits the sweet spot for a $50,000-$70,000 kitchen.
Where it falls short: nothing exciting. Conservative finishes. Standard hardware. Mid-tier feel. If you want premium aesthetic, KraftMaid will not deliver it.
Decora: the slightly-elevated tier
Decora prices about 10-15% higher than KraftMaid but delivers more interesting finish options, more architectural details (corbels, mouldings, custom trim), and slightly heavier feel. For homeowners who want "luxury feel without true-custom pricing" Decora is usually the answer.
Where it falls short: lead times can stretch 1-2 weeks longer. Some finishes carry "made to order" surcharges that the salesperson does not mention until the quote arrives.
Schrock: budget semi-custom
Schrock is MasterBrand's budget tier. The construction is one step down (1/2" boxes vs 5/8" at KraftMaid/Decora). Sizing increments are 3" (like stock) not 1" (like real semi-custom). Finish palette is narrower. But pricing is significantly lower.
Schrock makes sense for: rental property kitchens, secondary homes where premium is not needed, budget-conscious primary remodels where you want better than stock but cannot justify full semi-custom.
Our Brevard recommendation
For most $50,000-$70,000 Brevard kitchen remodels: KraftMaid Vantage is the practical pick. Wide enough finish palette, fast enough lead time, reliable construction, fits the budget.
For $70,000-$120,000 luxury Brevard kitchens: Decora is worth the 10-15% premium for the elevated feel.
For $25,000-$45,000 budget kitchens or rental properties: Schrock with carefully-chosen finishes beats stock cabinets at not much higher cost.
Above $120,000: skip semi-custom entirely. Full custom from a local Brevard cabinet maker delivers more value at that tier than any of the MasterBrand semi-custom lines.
Florida humidity note
All three brands use plywood box construction and engineered face frames. None will warp seasonally in Florida humidity the way solid-wood cabinets do. Make sure your installer leaves proper expansion gaps at walls and the ceiling. We see installation failures in Brevard kitchens not because of the cabinet quality but because of installers who shim too tightly.
